RV and Trailer Polishing at Home – Montreal, South Shore and North Shore

Restore Your RV or Trailer's Original Shine

Over time, UV rays, weather and humidity end up dulling the fiberglass of your RV or trailer. The surface oxidizes, loses its shine and becomes difficult to clean. Professional polishing restores your recreational vehicle’s original shine while protecting it for the seasons to come. We work directly at your location, without you having to move your unit.

Our 4-Step Polishing Process

Washing and Decontamination

We start with a complete cleaning to remove deposits, road marks and contaminants, and we assess the condition of the fiberglass before beginning the polish.

Mechanical Polishing

We apply an abrasive compound suited to RV fiberglass to correct micro-scratches, oxidation and stubborn stains. We select from our pre-polish products the combination suited to the condition of your surface.

Buffing and Finishing

We move on to a fine polish to even out the surface and bring out a bright and uniform shine across the entire body.

Sealant / UV Protection Application

We apply a UV sealant to seal and protect the fiberglass. This protective layer slows down oxidation and makes future cleanings easier.

How to Know If Your RV Needs Polishing?

Run your palm over the body: if the surface feels rough, looks dull or leaves a whitish mark on your fingers, the fiberglass is oxidized. Visually, a body that has lost its shine, shows yellowish reflections or visible scratches in full light is a clear sign that it is time to act. The longer you put it off, the deeper the oxidation penetrates and the more laborious the restoration becomes.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the difference between polishing and waxing for an RV?

Polishing is an abrasive step that removes oxidation and micro-scratches from the surface. Waxing or sealant is applied afterward to protect and add shine. Both are done together for a complete and lasting result.

How often should you polish your RV or trailer?

Once a year is generally sufficient, ideally in the spring before the season. If your RV is intensely exposed to sun or stored outdoors, twice a year may be warranted.

How much does an RV polishing at home cost?

The price depends on the size of the vehicle and the condition of the fiberglass. We offer free quotes — send us photos or call us at 514-606-0708 for a quick estimate.

Do you work at campsites or on private property?

Yes. We travel to your campsite, your driveway or any other accessible private property. Call us to confirm the logistics based on your situation.

Does polishing damage the RV's fiberglass?

No, if done correctly. We use abrasives and products suited to RV fiberglass, and we adjust our technique based on the condition of the surface. A professional polish protects the fiberglass rather than damaging it.

Can polishing and fiberglass repair be combined in a single visit?

Yes, and it’s often the best approach. We first assess the complete condition of the fiberglass, carry out the necessary repairs, then move on to polishing for an impeccable final result. Mention it when requesting your quote and we’ll plan both together.
