Polissage de bateau à domicile à Montréal, Rive-Nord et Rive-Sud
Restore Your Boat's Original Shine
Over time, the sun, water and weather end up dulling your boat’s gelcoat. The hull loses its shine, oxidizes, and becomes difficult to clean. Professional polishing restores the gelcoat’s original lustre while protecting it for the coming season. The result is visible from the very first visit.
Our 4-Step Polishing Process
Washing and Decontamination
On commence par un lavage complet de la coque pour retirer les dépôts, les traces de sel et les contaminants. Une surface propre, c’est la base d’un polissage réussi.
Mechanical Polishing
We select from our pre-polish compounds the combination suited to your gelcoat, then work with an orbital polisher at up to 3,500 RPM to eliminate oxidation, micro-scratches and scuff marks.
Buffing and Finishing
Once the polishing is complete, we perform a buffing step to even out the surface and bring out the shine. This is the step where the transformation truly becomes visible.
Sealant / UV Protection Application
We apply a UV sealant to seal and protect the gelcoat. This protective layer slows down oxidation and makes future cleanings easier.
Why Polish Your Boat Regularly?
Protection of the gelcoat against oxidation and UV damage
Preservation of resale value, a well-maintained boat sells better and faster
Easier cleanings, dirt sticks less to a treated surface
Immediate cosmetic result, your boat regains the appearance of its first day
How to Know If Your Boat Needs Polishing?
Run your hand over the hull: if it feels rough, dull or leaves a white residue on your fingers, it’s a sign that the gelcoat is oxidized. Visually, a hull that has lost its shine, shows yellowish marks or visible micro-scratches indicates it’s time to act. The longer you wait, the deeper the oxidation sets in, and the more work is required.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is the difference between polishing and waxing?
Polishing is an abrasive step that removes oxidation and micro-scratches from the surface. Waxing (or sealant) is applied afterward to protect and add shine. Both are done together for a complete and lasting result.
How often should you polish your boat?
Generally, once a year is sufficient, ideally in the spring before launch. If the boat is intensely exposed to sun or salt water, twice a year may be warranted.
How much does a boat polish cost?
The price depends on the size of the vessel and the condition of the gelcoat. We offer free quotes — call us at 514-606-0708 to discuss your situation.
Do you work at marinas?
Yes, it’s actually our most common scenario. We travel directly to your marina with all the equipment.
Does polishing damage the gelcoat?
No, if done correctly. We use abrasives suited to the condition of the gelcoat and adjust our technique based on the surface. A professional polish protects the gelcoat rather than damaging it.
Does your work comply with manufacturer standards?
Yes. We use only premium products and carry out all our work in compliance with boat manufacturer standards.
